Dan studied Film & Television production at NYU's esteemed Tisch School of the Arts and cut his teeth at audio branding/commercial music houses Elias Arts and Shout It Out Loud Music, in the demanding cross sections of the advertising and music industries. As composer, music editor, and/or engineer, he has work with some of the worlds greatest talent, servicing countless campaigns for the world's leading agencies and major brands.

As co-founder of Squirrel Thing Recordings, Dan resurrected the work of genius and disappeared songwriter Connie Converse, restoring her catalog and producing Connie's debut album, How Sad, How Lovely. This was followed by a revelatory album of recordings of (Nick's mum) Molly Drake's own exquisite originals, and a double LP of rare recordings from radical Bolivian folk-hero, Luzmila Carpio. Focusing on sublime lost-and-found treasures, and tempered with an enduring feminist streak, Squirrel Thing's albums have garnered critical praise (and adoring fans) the world over.

As production manager for BBC Worldwide North America, Dan produced hundreds of titles (including beloved brands Sherlock, Doctor Who, and BBC Earth) for home video and theatrical release, and mixed/produced/edited hundreds of broadcast promos and theatrical trailers.

Dan is a storyteller by training, and an engineer/geek at heart. Or maybe it's the other way around.
